EU certification for Parx Covid-19 filtering half mask.

COVID-19 MASK WITH ANTIVIRAL AND ANTIBACTERIAL OUTER LAYERS

Parx Materials NV announces the official EU certification for a filtering half mask to protect against Covid-19 made with the addition of Saniconcentrate™. The Danish institute Force Certifications A/S (EU-notified body number 0200) verified that the product is in accordance with the recommended use No. PPE-R/0.2/075 and Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the EU. This Covid-19 mask serves as personal protective equipment full-filling the relevant requirements.

WITH ADDITIONAL PROTECTION AGAINST VIRUSES AND BACTERIA

On top of the protective features required for a certified filtering half mask to protect against Covid-19, the Parx technology provides an additional layer of protection. The Parx technology has been integrated into the outer layers of the masks. This means these knitted materials that are the touch surfaces of the mask have been produced with the addition of Saniconcentrate making these surfaces resistant to bacterial and viral contamination.

SANICONCENTRATE

The functionality of the Parx Materials technology provided as Saniconcentrate relies on a non-toxic, body’s own, biocompatible element that is integrated in the material to modify or improve the mechanical/physical properties of the material making them resistant to the adhesion and proliferation of bacteria, viruses, molds, fungi, bio film and fouling. The technology does not involve any toxic chemical and is not migrating out. As the technology is not leaching away or wearing off and nothing is consumed, the technology last throughout the entire lifetime of the product.
